Prior to Zafra I owned, along with my father and brother, Havana NY Restaurant located in New York City. Havana NY is still in our family and it’s located at 27W 38th St. NYC.
I received my formal training at the New York Restaurant School in New York City where I learned the art of making soups, appetizers, entrees and desserts. As you may notice our food has links to Caribbean cooking, I was born in Cuba and both of my grandmothers were very influential in my current interest in cooking in general.
Our company is attempting to provide vegetarian/vegan food for a reasonable price. I hope to have you as my customer, and I promise that I will provide you with food that is made with the finest and freshest ingredients, purchased from local farmers whenever possible.
My main goal is to construct a non-kill animal shelter, and my wish would be that vegetarianfoodmarket.com would provide me with the ability to reach that goal.
